TUBOSIDER took part in the reconstruction of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa, today Ponte Genova San Giorgio, through the supply and installation of 5000 meters of metal road safety barriers (lateral and central type) with containment class H4b certifying in compliance with the UNI EN 1317 standard and equipped with CE mark.
The class of road safety barrier used guarantees the containment on the carriageway of an articulated vehicle with a mass of 38 tons which impacts at a speed of 65 km/h at an angle of 20°. Besides, the safety (always according to the standard) of the passengers of a car that impacts at a speed of 100 km/h at an angle of 20° is also guaranteed.
This road safety barrier, explicitly developed for the San Giorgio Bridge, was born from the development of a class H4b bridge edge barrier, present in the Company’s catalogue and called 3N.TU-bpl.66.
The works were carried out starting from June 2nd and were completed on July 31st.
